WARRANTY Lifetime Structural Warranty Lifetime Electrical Warranty StretcherWe were fortunate to obtain our new Ferno 35A stretcher in May 2001. This replaced our nearly ten year old stretcher which was also a Ferno 35A. This stretcher is lightweight (only 72 pounds) and is designed to allow one person load when empty. Complete with "built-in shock position and fully adjustable gas-assist backrest" this stretcher multiplies patient care choices. The Ferno 35A has oversized wheels, head end fold-down frame and fold-down side rails for easier maneuverability and virtually trouble-free patient loading and unloading. This Ferno 35A stretcher will assist our rescuers well in the years to come.
Stair chair:We have put in a request for a new Ferno model 40 stair chair for the ambulance. Currently we have a Ferno model 107 and a model 42 stair chair on the truck. Our plan is to replace the model 42 with the model 40 since it has telescoping handles for easier handling by the rescuer. The telescoping handles also allow transport of the patient without competing with the patient's lower legs. This stair chair also comes complete with a molded plastic back and seat and built-in clipboard holder. This model 40 stair chair will make it a bit easier for our rescuers to transport patients up and down flights of stairs and other difficult situations.
